Who are we?

A bunch of friends in the spiritual
equivalent of a candy shop.

We've all popped a little blue pill (no, not
Viagra) and begun to find out where the
rabbit hole goes (see the Blue Pill Shop
for more on this).

In other words, we're all been happy little
Christians happily going on our little
Christian way when we got blindsided by
a 10 tonne truck driven by the Holy Spirit.

Still confused? You should try it from our
side (really, you should try it, it's great fun).

We've discovered that God is bigger,
wider, taller and deeper then we've ever
imagined and we've come to realise that
some of our traditional Christian beliefs
and some christian traditions are actually
holding us back from really finding the
depth, breadth and width of our God.

Come along with us as we go on a ride
wilder then any ever imagined for a theme
park.

Why heretics-r-us?

I don't think there's a simple answer to that.
I suppose that the first answer is that it
appeals to our sense of humour.

The second answer is that it helps to
remind us not to take ourselves too
seriously. We've got to stay humble in this
endeavour or we will run the risk of spiritual
pride.

I think it also helps to keep us sane. When
all we seem to get is criticism from those
around us, it reminds us that we are
explorers in a strange new world and that
some of the natives are less then friendly.

Are we always right? If you think that then
you are the one on pills. We're nothing
more than pilgrims on a journey.

If you've travelled some of the roads
already, share your journey. If you're on the
same road as us, join with us for a while -
company always makes the miles go
quicker. Not on any road? Then be careful
treading here. In the words of Bilbo the
Hobbit:

"It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door...
You step into the Road, and if you don't keep your feet,
there is no knowing where you might be swept off to."
